I wore a uniform in school and still do for collage and work and it is/was awesome.
In highschool, we had to wear long grey trousers, white shirt and navy blue blazer with a white and blue striped tie.
Your hair had to be in check, face had to be shaved, tie on properly, blazer had to have the badge and buttons sewn on properly and you also weren't allowed to put your hands in your pockets. Any breach of code resulted in a detention.
Collage and work is the same, but the tie is done in a different way and i get a chef jacket that needs to be properly ironed or I go home.
It's not about stopping bullying, its about learning.
Learning how to respect yourself
Learning how to respect tradition
Learning how to respect your peers
Learning how to look smart for when one day you go for a job interview
Do you complain about when you wear your favourite sport team uniform? It's exactly the same as you support your school's image and its traditions.
Another thing about in high school, is that we did a lot of inter-school sports and we would wear our uniforms in support and so did the other schools. It's amazing how school rivalries are formed like that and extend into when you walk down the street in your uniform.
Feel free to ask me any questions about uniforms. Also I wonder how many people here known how to properly tie a tie.
