When someone does something nice out of sheer kindness. It could be as simple as holding the door open for someone else.
Also when my band director compliments me, I'm quiet so I think I get overlooked a lot, even though I'm first chair.

Having a good laugh with a friend makes my day (it doesn't happen often since I don't get see my old friends that much anymore). It's usually the little moments like this that matter the most in life. They will be the memories that you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Yeah with emphasis on the word rare because it occurs too rarely to even take note. It's quite sad actually, but it's nice when you do get a little, a little reminder that everyone isn't like that.
