Rationality and religion hierarchy:


(I apologize in advance if this seems offensive, but it is being approached objectively and contains no intent to offend)
Fundamental is used here to mean unswayable by evidence, eg, following blindly.


Pure Agnostic/Agnostic Atheist (No real reason for belief in gods unless evidence provided)
Agnostic Theist (believes in a god or gods without evidence, but is open minded.
Atheist (Does not believe in gods based on evidence.)
Theist (believes in god or gods without evidence.)
fundamental theist/fundamental atheist (believes blindly in god or gods/disbelieves in god or gods but is unwilling to reconsider postion based on given evidence)




I've just been researching this topic and felt the need to post on it, having watched videos by QualiaSoup and TheraminTrees.

I don't understand the concept that science is against religion.
It most certainly is not against anything, science is just what we observe; it's not some evil thing to cloud out religious beliefs. It's just, unfortunately, as of yet, we haven't observed religious stuff. Maybe we will in the future, who knows.

Way back when the church ran the way of live, they would often kill scientists who though differently bout lifebecause thy feared that if they could disprove something,that they would lose followers and power over the people.
And in truth all thow of people died by the hands of the church.

Yeah, I do agree with that; but I also have to point out that (I am an Agnostic-Atheist) the soviet union did a very similar thing to Christianity in the "name" of Atheism, though for very different reasons.
