Ted tried to steady his aim, he only had five bullets left, and he didn't want to miss. "Say goodbye... mutie." In his madness and unwillingness to give up, Ted attempted to shoot Gabag in the head while he opened the hatch, but before he could, a stiletto mysteriously materialized in mid-air and stabbed Ted in the back. The poisons on the blade made him numb, he turned around to see the dark mask of Tom Chalmers' Vague suit before he blacked out. Tom dragged Ted off-site while in stealth mode, and Stephen Garrett was nowhere to be found. "Glad that's over. Now we just need to wait for Frank to get back here with that cure, ey John?" Mike said, giving John a friendly slap on the back. "I'm not so sure about getting the cure, Mike." John looked away from Mike, though he felt much better in his company than Ted's. "John, you can't honestly know for sure that there isn't a cure." Mike said. "It's not that..." John looked at Mike. "I want to stay like this." John said, hesitantly. "No, you can't! I mean, it's not like I have a problem with it, but..." Mike said, trying as hard as possible not to offend. "I understand why you don't want me to make this decision, but I will endure." John stood up and looked at Gabag. "If you've lasted through all the things people could throw at you, I can too."
"He's coming around." Tom said, sitting on a chair next to Ted, who's lying on an old mattress on the ground. Stephen stood within a doorway to outside, holding a Heckler & Koch PSG1. Ted got up, his vision was blurred and he felt dizzy and nauseous. Ted looked around, he could tell he was in one of the Refugee shacks in D9 by the general layout of the room and the smell of rust. "Where... are we? Ugh..." Ted took off his mask, feeling slightly anemic, and he vomits a blackish-red substance. He remembered John throwing up black fluids before his transformation completed, and Ted started to panic. "Ted, you have intermediate organ damage and are suffering a Class II Hemorrhage from the beating you took from that tank. You need to rest." Tom said. This told Ted that the blood simply came from damage in his stomach. "Oh, thank God." Ted said, holding his hands up together as in praying. "Ok? Well, you still need to lay down." Tom pressed on Ted to lay down. "I have been through much worse than this..." Ted put his signature "Burlap Sack" helmet back on, and stood up, weakly. "Well, take these Pilocarpine shots. They'll help you get over your Atropine poisoning." Tom gave Ted a couple miniature jet injectors. "Keep them." Ted said, grabbing his Pfeifer Zeliska up from the floor and his Milkor MGL from a disused countertop. "Where are you going..." Stephen said, standing in the doorway to keep Ted from leaving. "I'm going to get Frank back here, he's got the cure by now, no doubt." Ted said, and Stephen moved out of his way. "He's at the MNU chemical labs, it's shouldn't be too hard to find amongst the slum shacks..." Stephen pointed over in the general direction that the Chem lab is at, and Ted storms off to there.
