Frank heard Zeit blathering over the Regulator comm channel, "Stay out of my channel." he ordered, and fried Zeit's comm device with a High voltage discharge through the radiowaves. The Poleepkwa holding Frank shook him up a bit and just then the one soldier that was previously knocked out got up and attempted to stab the alien in the back with a combat knife, Frank promptly unholstered a nickel plated M1911 pistol and put a tungsten bullet in the soldier's forehead. A few refugees witnessed this selfless act and rejoiced, all until more MNU troops arrived by helicopter, then they carefully walked back to their homes, except for the two that were already with Keegan. "You better explain yourself, this a restricted area and you are not authorized clearance." an MNU field sergeant said, giving a hand signal to have his men ready their weapons.
Mike fashioned a crude translation speaker, made out of spare parts from a French Gasmask and a Ham Radio, made specifically for Poleepkwa Physiology. "Wear this like any Respirator, and it should translate any words you speak to Domparadan." John put the mask on and took a deep breath, "Th... thanks, Mike." a synthesized voice spoke out through the machine, "So, can you tell us what happened before you turned into this Prawn?" John sighed at Teds continuing intolerance. "I can, and stop calling me a Prawn." John snapped back, "Fine, John, I'll stop. I'm sorry calling you a nasty ol' Prawn." Ted 'apologized,' devoid of compassion. "Furthermore, I want you to stop calling all of us Prawns." John instructed, "Excuse me!?" Ted exclaimed, "You can go right ahead and keep calling us Non-Humans, because that's what we are, but we are not Prawns, thus we do not wish to be labeled as such..." John said, now forrowing his eyebrow. "Non-Human isn't specific enough." Ted proclaimed, shaking his head. "You mean it's not derogatory enough for you, is that it?" John was now bristling, both in his anger and on his skin. John felt genuinely betrayed by one of his best friends. He now knew what it was like to be on the receiving end of such levels of bigotry. "You could put it that way." Ted's eyes narrow, as did John's. The tension was virtually thick enough to cut with a knife.
