as someone who joined really recently and is, well very new to forums in general (which feels very odd to say) I really wonder what it was like in the days when this place was active.

I try to be as active as I can be but wow is there a lot in this site, and it feels little odd messaging in places people haven’t talked in for actual years. but honestly I love seeing the few familiar faces on here from time to time and, in a way, it’s much less daunting to post my little drawings and random thoughts (or rather, long rambles) here than on my regular social medias haha

maybe it’ll be active here again sometime in the future, or it’ll be a just be a little community, who knows

(Also I got say I don’t know much abt pokemon, but love eeveelutions - your fursonas are great !)

Fire seems really nice and almost nostalgic to be aaround.
I'm from many forums. All the way from f2f to here today.  Even some of the gross ones like furgasmic
But forums are like homes away from home. Or home in a home. And the people we meet in them are our friends and family.
I've been gone for a decade, since I ran and worked on forums. Since I knew a lot of the popular artists of the time I was somewhat popular to their fans anyway.  I think that's what got me into it all the most and fighting back the something awful trolls. Now days the world is different. And it feels weird to come back to a forum after so long away.  I've been reaching out to old friends but most haven't been around in five or more years

New friends and a new home is a welcome idea. And while this was never my home during its active phase  it could be now. Really haven't interacted with many here, I've seen a couple names I knew back when
It's weird I know I'm hung up on the old days, gotta make new days

Hope it does become active again, likely never will.  Along the way I'll likely interact with newer members.
TFF was the first furry forum I  joined, so could be why I stayed for so long.
I do miss drawing, but I know I'll never be able to draw again.

It hangs a little heavy in my heart sometimes to check this place and find there's one or no new replies; but slowly, slowly, it's been growing in popularity again - I have lurked for the decade plus I've been here, but I used to be an awful lot more active - it used to be quite busy! It's getting busy again, slowly but surely.. That is why I started to post more, around a year ago - I missed the activity, so I decided to do my part!
TFF was my first furry forum, too... I had been lurking on videogame based forums for a while; Bumbleking, Starmen, the likes. But a cosplay forum thread had pointed me towards TFF; I had been a furry for a while already, and I decided to come here for specialised fursuiting advice.. Ha, good times!

Yay, finally managed to update my signature with all my sonas info.

Same with me. Most of my week again I see one to no new replies, then I come in, like today, and see four to five new replies on threads I already replied too.
That means more fun to catch up.... i mean more fun to post in.

I believe I have been a furry for years, never knew there was a term for it until  I learned it sometime  in  2012 - then I discovered TFF in 2015, joined.

If the forums are slowly making a comeback, I'll be there too.
Do believe the majority of the regulars left when Discord got popular.

(my silly 1st world technological issue,just trying to decide which song to listen to next, either GWAR, Primus, or the Red Hot Chili Peppers)

I hope the forum does make a comeback,  I've never been into role-playing oddly, it's neat to watch others do it I've just never had the capacity to do it nor the inclination

I was the same at first.
I didn't know how to 'RP' either, once I realize I was good at it, I kept having fun. Maybe one day will be similar with you. Takes time.

Ooh, I ought to start RPing in here. Problem is, these days, I mostly do deep lore paragraph RP's based on the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comics - though I used to RP on these forums a lot in 2013, perhaps I ought to give it another go myself? 

As for discord... I just can't wrap my head around it; it's too fast. I still use IRC for quick chat - I preferred it when we used to have an IRC channel for the forums, but I see why Discord is more accessible than IRC - having gotten some friends to try out the KnGI IRC channel as I'm part of the BumbleKrew, and discord went down... I'm a bad influence!
I try to pop in from time to time, but I feel like I'm just more suited to pop in once every few hours!

I remember the IIRC, I didn't get the chance to try it out.
Back in the earlier days, between the forums and Skype where I was the most.
Today  I don't even use Skype anymore.
I also check in at least once a day to see if newer replies and get to them.

When a regular friend of mine comes in for fun then I'll bee on longer.
Kind of not done much RPing since majority of my RP partners left for Discord or left for good.
Oh yes, I did use Discord a lot, until I couldn't log back in, and trying to get a newer one is super challenging for me with visual impairment and the Captchas are just too complicated.

Aside from FIrox / Aaron, I'll still reply to all my other sonas, now in my signature

Ah, that's a shame, I really hope you can get that to work; I sort of know the struggle, I'm visually impaired myself, legally blind, and I can only wear my glasses some of the time; I use a Screen Reader the rest of the time, and I just give up trying to sign up to anything or recover anything; they don't make it easy, do they?

At the very least, we'll always be on the forums~ I'm not going anywhere any time soon, and I hope that people will return to have fun with us here!

That's me as well, now even reading glasses don't do much to aide.
Been struggling with the Captcha for almost a month, might have to ask someone to aide.
Also Discord doesn't make it easy to contact them for aide,
Might not be able to draw anymore, still enjoying life, and having fun, including here on the forums.
I'll still be here for all while I'm still alive, and have internet as well.

Oh, yes; I don't know if you can put ALT text in this forums' code, but a descriptor underneath goes quite some way.

But yeah the difference in activity from when I first joined (almost half a year ago wow) makes me pretty optimistic!
