Ever feel like the most pathetic human in existence?
« on: October 01, 2015, 11:48:20 AM »
I often feel this way. It's all I've been told. There's nothing good about me, honestly. I mean, I never physically hurt or stole from anyone but that's not "good", it's just not having the balls to be aggressive. Which can be seen as just another flaw.

I think not being aggressive is something commendable to be honest.
It's further commendable to be able to say that you've never stolen anything or ever had to physically hurt someone.

Don't confuse these traits with being "strong" or "masculine".
More than half the time these traits are more closely associated with (ironically) being pathetic.

Not sure where you're getting the ideas that being able to hurt or steal makes you a better person, but I think the world would be a better place if there were more people like you who didn't do these things.

I have always found you to be rather insightful. And you definitely add to the threads you post in. But, let's be honest, prowess in a forum is probably not the best way to gage one's ability. It really would be easier to help you if I knew more about you. But realise that while I believe not all humans are given equal, we are all born almost equal. As furries, we probably all have something to deal with. It's like being a nerd before nerds were cool, on fox news. But worse. *shivers* Seriously though, realise you shaming yourself like this, is the worst shame you will receive. No one should ever make you feel less than yourself. Unless you do something very wrong. Like insanely wrong to where they have to have a court meeting about which mental asylum has the most security. But seeing as you haven't, I think you should know that you are better than a lot of people I know. Stay true to yourself, realise your greatness, and turtle power!

24/7. Let me tell you something, the world is full of thieves, bullies, jerks, etc. But nobody is equal no matter how many times people say they are normal, they aren't. From experience, be yourself, its the best you can do. If people don't like yourself, it's their lose, cause who knows! If you continue leading your path right like you are now, you can end up with a great future. Or follow my path, which isn't so good....but anyway be yourself, and never EVER let others put you down!

Pacifism isn't something to be disappointed about.

But what I think you mean, when you say aggressive, is the idea that you're not confident and self-confidence is an important trait. There's no easy way to get confident but to actually invest yourself in project that might help, team projects preferably. What's something you like doing? Do you like drawing, writing, programming? Think of a project and just try and do it, get some friends along, lead a team. Great for self-confidence if you can do it.
