I've also tried naming many of the animals on my campus(stray cats/geese/ducks/etc), usually after knights or mythological figures.

Spiders are fun to handle, those short hairs tickle on my hand. (tried to put it under quote, some how didn't go right)

At the moment, trying to memorize the Korean alphabet - Hangul - don't plan on learning the language, would love to able to read it, no specific reason I want to learn it, I just do (similar to the way I'm with Russian)

I dumpster-dived as a preteen. Not as bad as some people think, it's utterly astounding how much good, fresh, unopened food goes to waste just because its a little too ripe or a little past the expiration date.

What kinds of foods were most commonly discarded in that fashion?

No kidding. I am pretty disappointed that people discard food for being anything less than absolutely perfect.
