how to properly link your steam profile?

when i click my own steam icon....thingy it says profile not found but im logged into it right now! i can see the name....anyone know how to do this correctly? as when i click others steam link it shows their profile

Use your URL/L0GIN name not your PR0FILE.

i put my login name but it still dont seem to work....did i do it wrong?

nevermind it works now! apparently i had to actually set a custom url then it worked

In the forum profile form, it asks for your "Steam ID", which implies it wants your username or number.
