Kro was still at the hospital, after waking up in the chair again. He watched the doctors as they worked around Vulki. He sighed once more, looking at himself. As soon as he got back to the apartments, he decided he would have to wash just about everything he was wearing. Once again looking at the mask, some of its scratches and tears seemed to reflect on Kro. It was probably just him. Once again, he sat back, watching what was being done to Vulki.

Kro lowered his ears over his eyes. He hated this- screams so lucidly painted, yet he knew it to be for her own good. He tried his best to prevent his tears, but his defense failed. He just hung his head so they couldn't be seen.
