"...Demon punched me through a wall." Angder states. "Messed me up badly."

Nothing. Once again, he had been able to do nothing. Alexander couldn't even remember how long he'd been sitting here, listening to the grass, watching the little ripples in the pond's water. Of all the places, he had seemingly chosen the atrium garden as his own, a refuge to think.

A sharp whistle breaks his trance, causing his attention to snap toward one of the dividers. Leaning against one of the glass dividers stands a bat in smooth leather, covered in black from his tipped cowboy hat to his tall boots. As he notices that he's got the buck's attention, his lips crack into a wry grin. "Falling asleep there, kiddo?"

[Cifero Windtail]

*Alka looked over at the door* Alka: Someone's knocking... Can you go check who it is, Clare?

Clare nodded, standing up and walking to the door while stretching. "Hello?" the wolf called, scratching her bare lower back.

Geoff didn't expect to see Clare answer the door, but he understood why she'd be there.
"Oh. Oh hey," he greeted. "I, uh, cooked some stuff for Alka."

Clare opened it wide, dressed in a cut-off black tank top and a pair of pajama pants. "Hey Geoff," she said with a grin. "Come on in."




Cassy kept teaching Setcho how to dance.

Geoff stepped in and set the container of stew on a table.
"How have you two been doing? Is Alka recovering alright?"

Angder smiles. "I am going to go for a... walk? roll? what is the term?" Angder sighs and shakes his head. "Not going to leave the apartment area, just feel like getting some fresh air..."

Cassy giggled and laid her head against Setcho's chest. "Totally."




Clare sighed. "He's got some bullet wounds that need to be taken care of, but otherwise, he's recovering... if slowly."

[Surge Protectorate]

"Mirage?" Alexander's voice started in disbelief for a moment, only to turn into momentary, mocking contempt. "To what do I owe the honor of a direct visit?"

All he gets is a shrug, the bat's gloved hands raising into view from his pockets in the exaggerated motion. "What? I'm not allowed to pay my buddies a visit now and again?", the man asks back in a slick, confident tone. "You know, see how they're holding up?"

[The Past]

"Ah... Well, hopefully this stew will help a tiny bit."
Geoff looked at the floor, his ears lowered. "Alka is a great guy. He didn't deserve all this... I want to help him as much as he helped me, at the very least..."

Clare smiled and got out a bowl and a spoon for Alka. "That's very kind of you, Geoff," she said. "... Can you drive?"

Geoff shook his head. "Well, I know how, but I never got a license. Driving scares me..."

Angder heads outside, and starts to head for the edge of the property.
