From what I can see in the stats, this January there was an amount of new posts and threads comparable to January last year, but less members online, less new members and less page views. However last February there was a lot less activity compared to February last year on all stats.

I know what you mean. Still, I think the site will become more active eventually. With how old it is, it's not going anywhere.

Even though I've only been here for a couple days, I have been quite enjoying this board.  Everyone here seems to be super friendly and respectful.  No random baseless arguments and trolling that I have come to know on other forums.

Yeah I've been here for a year and I haven't met a troll it's pretty well moderated too even though it doesn't look like it. Mods come around every couple of days for a chat. Maybe not here but on the other thread I'm on.

Generally when I join a forum, I rarely post for awhile while just dipping my toes in the water.  Until I figure out the environment.  If I continue on that board or not depends on that environment.  I have been posting here much more than I would have expected.

Early... I'd be asleep if it was a day off. It's 6pm here, I'm usually around between 5 and 12, sometimes earlier depending on school. If you need anything let me know, I'm at your disposal.

I bet a year's salary that if you take a look at the statistics over the past 1-5 years and made data of the join dates of new members and/or amount of posts made at what times, it would make an S-shaped curve and our current statistics would be a part of the stabilized period, if not the decline, and will probably be for the rest of the year.

Unless there are significant events happening on other websites (DDoS attacks, FA, dA, or Ferzu being a pain-in-the-neck, ect.) that cause those members to mass-migrate here, the unaffected populous, I predict this site to grow at a very gradual incline around 2018 and then taper off again in a few months, tops, or until those other sites gain back the trust of their members (which most of them are long-term and loyal). We might actually see another decrease.

However, I think if we make a remarkable effort to post in the more social boards on the forum (Introductions, General, R&A, roleplay) it will send the message to any new users that we are active and engaged, even if we're small in number, and probably speed up the process of an incline a notable amount, even if it takes time.


It's just a prediction, though. Human nature on a graph is a lot harder to analyze than populations of leucospermum.
