I find the story a bit confusing even after reading just one part. It's not really clear to me when something is said. Maybe you should try to add "", it makes it a bit easier to read.

Sure... Every book I read just starts dialogues with -
And I don't think anything is said in the first part.

Is that different in Poland then? The " " aren't called quotation marks for nothing...

Yea it might be different here. We always do dialogues just starting with - and ending with it if there's narration in between speech...

That's used for different situations, like if someone suddenly gets interrupted whilst talking.

Yea I know, but then you add that and then close the quote. I know what you're going through though, I have a hard time reading with quotes instead of dashes. If the next part happens I'll remember to change the style
