Geoff felt like he and Alistair had been walking through tunnels for hours. As far as he knew, they could be going around in a circle. He let his guard down a while ago, not really sensing much danger. Aside from the dripping of water and their footsteps, it was pretty much quiet. His attention was fully--well, mostly--focused on finding a way out. The rest of his attention was on the ache in his belly.
"Wish we had some food..."
He tensed up for a moment. He had spoken softly, but suddenly hearing his voice bouncing off the cave walls spooked him a little.
Al was occupied by the chunk of salt, but chances are he was still pretty hungry as well. Geoff trusted Al now, but the massive feral saber may turn on him once starvation sets in, and he highly doubted he could take down such a beast. He hoped they could get back to the surface before it gets to that point.
