Stranded...

[Chains]

"water melon?" I asked looking at the melon like fruit.

[The Past]

"That's what they look like... but they're small. Hopefully not too young..."

He looked around and saw another tree with fruit. These were pale yellow and looked kind-of like radishes.

He began to climb up the tree to reach them.

((I'm just thinking about the berries in Pokemon with this. ))

[Chains]

"You got them?" I call out holding the net open.

[The Past]

He reached his hand out to touch the fruits and moved them a tad... to find a massive buzzing insect. It looked like a wasp but with dark purple stripes and leg tips.

Geoff gasped and quickly clambered down, jumping halfway, then snatched the net of fruit from Chains and began running.

"NOPERUNRUNRUNRUNRUN"

[Chains]

Looking up I saw the insect. taking my hand I swip just as the bug got close, my claws cutting it in half.

[The Past]

Geoff bent down to grab his spear... suddenly the area was filled with intense buzzing.

He straightened up and looked at Chains, his face displaying pure horror.

He ran as fast as he could, trying to keep grip on the fruit-filled net.

[Chains]

I could handle one little bug, but a bunch, no. I turn and take off running.
"runrunrunrunrunrunRUNRUNRUNRUNRUN!!!!!" I exclaim as I ran.

[The Past]

Out from the trees came a swarm.

Geoff almost sobbed as he ran. Of all insects, it had to be the one type he's extremely afraid of!

He and Chains ran through the jungle back toward the hidden temple.

[Chains]

As I run I start taking my chain off. turning around I twirl it around, getting momentum.

[The Past]

Geoff quickly squeezed into the entrance of the temple and set the net down. Panting and panicking, he looked back to see Chains still out there.

He didn't want to go back out there. He hated wasps. He REALLY hated wasps. But he couldn't leave Chains out there alone...

Not even bothering to explain to the others, he grabbed two sticks from the fire pit and rapidly rubbed them together until they began to smoke.
"c-c'mon...!"
 Flames started consuming the end of one of the sticks.

Geoff jumped up and ran as fast as he could out, wielding the flaming stick.

[Chains]

spinning my chain around in the air, I cut down groups of wasps. However, there were too many of them.
(I imagine him like in prince of persia two thrones.)

[Farewell]

Zaida heard the wasps but was too busy looking at the painting on the rock wall covered up messily from her black blood, looking like ink was slashed about. She sighed making sure they were covered.

[The Past]

Geoff prepared for the worst and held out his flaming stick toward the swarm and waved it about, hoping to burn them and make them flee. The swarm began to move back.

[Chains]

they all seemed to have started dispersing until they were all gone. Panting, I start winding my chain up and putting it over my shoulders. 

[The Past]

Geoff slapped the apparent last one with his stick, making it flop to the ground.

He looked at the flames on his stick, back to the retreating swarm, then back to the flames.

"Ha... Haha..."

He broke into post-terror laughter, shaking.
