With a heavy heart

Today, the world said goodbye to a sweet and loyal friend. My first dog passed away. He was going on thirteen this year, if memory serves. He lived with my grandparents in Las Vegas where he enjoyed a life of leisure and excessive treats, where he was surrounded by my jovial little cousins.

I'll miss you Dodger. Keep an eye on grandpa until I get there.

My condolences. If at all possible, try to remember how he lived and what you and your family did with him, rather than how it ended. I have lost several pets before from various causes. I know exactly how you feel.

Thank you Haze. His passing was easy, so that's a comfort at least. He had a good life and died happy and fat I couldn't want more for my dog.

Always sad to see an old friend go. If he died happy then thats for the best. I recently almost lose my dog who is turning 15. He too is happy and fat.
