Broken Fourth Wall

"Water.. fights?" Tim was confused. He looked at Ardys and wondered for a second how that sounded.
"You know at first you would sound crazy saying that somewhere else."


Tim continued trying, then he got the idea to aim it at an angle. "Hmmmmm.... Yes! Got one. Thank you!"

Ardys grinned. "Perfect," she said, getting a few more fish. "Hmm... You know, this stream might lead to a bigger body of water."

"And that would mean... bigger fish?" Tim looked at Ardys, it took him forever to think of another reason she would mention that.
"Oh! You want to go swim?"

"Yeah, eventually," she said, getting a few more fish. "I think we've got enough fish for now, though, so we should probably eat first." Stepping out of the water, Ardys shook her lower legs one at the time to dry them out. "I'm not going to bother putting my normal clothes back on," she said, picking up the fish. "I'm going back in the water anyway."




Daisy flew overhead, watching everything secretly.




Cassy finished separating and cleaning the herbs, fruit and seeds.

"Right, right. Hey, I think I just had a dumb moment in the Apartments... but honestly, i'm still getting used to it. I haven't been there much lately so it's hard getting used to it."


Tim stepped out the water, carrying some fish in his net. He walked up the hill, wiping some water off his fur.

Ardys reached the top of the hill and set the fish down. "How are things going with you, Cassy?" she asked, walking over to check on the crat.




Cassy looked up when Ardys said her name. "Oh!" she said. "Well, I got everything washed and organized. We could have a nice salad."




"Great," the sabretooth said. "You get to work on that, and Tim and I can deal with the fish." With that, she headed back over to Tim.


Cassy started to make a salad with the wild edible plants.

Tim was halfway up the hill before he saw Ardys turn to him. "Something up?"


He steped on something and snapped to his foot before kicking the object. "Ow!"

Ardys walked over to Tim. "What's the matter?" she said.

"That's what I was just about to ask you. You got the hilltop and then turned around. Oh... it has to do with the food, doesn't it? Yeah i'll be up in just a second. THen we can cook them."


Tim seemed a little empty headed today. Like he had his mind stuck on something.

Ardys chuckled. "I was going to ask what you stepped on, but yeah, we need to prepare the fish," she said. Setting her pile of fish down, the sabretooth grabbed her things and brought them over to the top of the hill. "Do you know how to clean a fish, Tim?" she asked, looking for a boning knife or a Wunder Boner.

"My grandma does. It's her job. But I don't..... Aren't you suppose to scale them first?"


Tim pulled out a curved blade, short, very wavy but could be useful.

[Cifero Windtail]

Ardys nodded. "Yes... Do you want to do that bit?" she asked.

[Tim Siguire]

"Yeah. I just hope I don't break the fish, trying." Tim turned his net over and dropped some fish. He took the first one and carefully dragged his blade across the opposite direction of the scales.

Ardys nodded and gave Tim a small smile. "Good," she said. "You get the scales off, and I'll gut them." The sabretooth touched her belly and smiled harshly. "Good thing for them that they're dead... it sucks to be gutted while you're alive."

"You don't have to remind yourself of things. Not saying you do. I know it sucks not being able to forget. How did you survive, if I may ask."


Tim continued scaling them,  Scales started flinging  everywhere. "Agh... i'll be here for a while... "
