I have no personal experiece running clubs myself, but there are a few general ideas you may want to consider:
Set up consistent club meeting/playing/discussion times, and consider employing a poll to decide what times work best for everyone. Also, be sure to respond to emails and messages from members as soon as possible. State the ground rules regarding the server(s) that the club will be playing on, and make sure people follow them! If the club is fairly large, choose a select person (or multiple people) to become moderators.
