Ray pulled the hardware up, and winced. "I can't fix this. We're gonna need a new drive." He pulled an extinguisher from his bag, and sprayed it into the slot. The nano-foam cooled the slot, and disappeared. Ray sat, and sighed. "That's another few days..."

Ray peered into the slot, and activated a bypass. "There, so we can at least fly." He slid back down, and worked on the shields. "Leon!? Can you tell me what the hit detector's saying? I want to know if this panel's still working."

Ray smiled at Hiyate, and tossed him his wallet. "Yeah, go and buy a new impulse drive. TX-416, by the look of it." He continued working on the shield port, until blue sparks flew wildly for a moment. "Everything seems normal."
