Acon smiled and took Ray's paw again. "It's alright." She began leading Ray to the third floor and to a room at the end of a long hallway.

Ray stepped inside, and waited for Acon.

Acon walked in after Ray and locked the door behind her. "So..."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray looked around. "No water stains, nice carpet, and unbroken windows? Definitely a step up from my apartment." He wandered about, taking in the decor.

Acon smiled and sat on a chair that was placed in she corner. "Heh. You don't seem the type for dingy places."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray shrugged, and sat on the floor, leaning against a wall. "I gotta play the cards I was dealt. I've only seen Giovanni's mansion twice in all my years of working with him."

Acon pulled her knees up to her chin. "Oh?" She furrowed her brow.

[Rayleonarde]

Ray nodded, and pulled his knees to his chest. "Yeah. Once when I joined his family, and once when I became a minor lieutenant."

[Aconitum]

Acon sighed. "Oh my. Minor lieutenant? What happened to that?"

[Rayleonarde]

Ray sighed, and looked at the floor. "I didn't kill someone. Ronnie took my position, and Giovanni figured I wasn't good enough for decent living. So he found the most garbage apartment in Acension, had his boys go in with sledgehammers, and gave it to me."

[Aconitum]

Acon crawled out of her seat and sat next to Ray. "That... that's so unfair!"

[Rayleonarde]

"I don't know. I'm alive, and I have a decent line of work. As long as I don't screw up anymore, Givoanni's happy, and I'm happy."

[Aconitum]

Acon let her ears fall and she sighed. "I see."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray sighed. "Yeah, and this could potentially be that last screw up. If I get caught with you..." He shook his head. "I shouldn't be here."

Acon shook her head. "No... it'll be fine. You won't get caught, I swear." She smirked. "I'm a pro at this, trust me."
