Germain dropped to the ground, and slid under the bull. He got up, and took off down the street.

The giant wooden beast got down on all fours and turned to chase after him. Every so often, the silver threads that allowed the puppet master to control him, caught the sun's light and became visible.

The bull huffed, wood chippings flying out of its nose In dusty clouds. It leapt onto the car and began trampling it flat against the ground.

Germain slipped out behind the bull, and tried to slip away. He hoped the sound of wood on steel would give him enough cover to get away.
