The veteran had found a nice, cool place to sit in the backyard, and think about things. Namely things he had done recently. Like the time he killed... No he died. It wasn't his fault.

He found himself wandering as he often did when he was in... Was it PTSD? He wasn't sure he found himself wandering onto an estate of some sort when he came to. He had just up and sat on a chair in the back porch... He didn't know why.

He was sitting there, his face in his paws, when he had heard a noise. A loud thud. It took a moment for him to realize it, but it was a door being kicked down. That was his favorite part of basic training. He went around the house to go investigate.
