*I clench my teeth, as the grey powder settles in the wound.*

The room flouded with applause again. Herman dropped Ray's paw after sheathing the knife and putting Ray's glove back on him. "It's a boy!" He joked, lifting Ray to his feet.

[Rayleonarde]

*I blink, and feel a burning from my right shoulder. I don't mention the discomfort to Herman.* "S-So I'm in?"

[Aconitum]

Herman clapped Ray on the back. "Yes, my good man. You are now a trusted member of the Lovien Business." He handed Ray a glass of wine. "Enjoy the rest of the evening. You've earned it."

[Rayleonarde]

*I wince.* "T-Thanks. I think I'm going to go...though. I mean no disrespect, sir...I'm...still adjusting to...the memory wipe."

[Aconitum]

Herman fixed Ray with a critical eye before nodding his understanding. "A memory worker, eh. Good, we needed more of those. Rest up."

[Rayleonarde]

*I walk away, casting a brief glance at Acon before heading up the stairs, hoping she would follow.*

[Aconitum]

Acon got up from her seat and caught up to Ray as he made his way up the stairs. "How do ya feel? Like a new fur?"

[Rayleonarde]

*I make sure no-one followed us, as we make it to my room.* "N-No...something's...not right..." *I start taking off the suit jacket.*

[Aconitum]

Acon's eyebrows bunched in the middle of her forehead in consern. "What's wrong?"

[Rayleonarde]

*I remove my shirt, and rub at my shoulder.* "It burns...bad..."

[Aconitum]

Acon took a closer look. "Uh... aloe?" She asked, unsure of what to do.

[Rayleonarde]

*I shake my head.* "N-No...I need to get back to the monolith. The Council wants to know what I've gotten into." *I put my shirt on, and start walking towards the estate's entrance.*

[Aconitum]

Acon followed close behind. "Should I could I come with you?" She asked.

[Rayleonarde]

"As far as the monolith, from there, you have to wait." *I walk out of the estate, and out to the woods, rubbing my shoulder.* "I hope Herman doesn't catch wind of this...not yet."
