Oh. In that case, define twelve o' clock in the night. Is it the period between 12.00 AM and 12.01 AM? Between 12.00 AM and 1.00 AM? Between 11.58 PM and 12.02 AM? What?

Wouldn't you refer to "midnight" as a moment instead of a period?

But then when is this "moment"? Twelve o'clock at night exactly? Because if it's to mean one specific point of the day, the period in which you can say "it's midnight" and be correct would be infinitely small. You could saying it exactly when it occurs, and the moment would've passed a few hundreths of a second ago by the time you start saying the first "t".

That's kinda the point of a "moment in time", it being infinitely small and all.

It has no duration, it happends. (when the clock changes from 11:59:59 to 00:00:00 or 12:00:00) And yeah, that's why it kinda is incorrect to say "it's midnight right now", because midnight isn't, midnight happens.

More correct would be to say "It's around midnight / near midnight / past midnight.
