Quite obsessively, I already have a computer capable of handling some very demanding work, but I'm planning on building a very powerful X79 CustoMac Hackintosh ($2100) with a OWC Acelsior 240GB drive (4X faster than SSD) capable of 100% OS X native functionality and more power than what even a top tier purchase from the Apple store can give you. You're saving several thousands of dollars.

The next user has never used OS X.

True! OS X is the Apple computer operating system.
I don't really use Apple computers, because there are far less programs avaliable for them (at least, less for what kind of programs I use).

False, inherently it is extremely foolish for anyone to purchase a computer from Apple. The only thing I care about is the operating system and the production/programming applications that are all available on the same platform. Windows 8.1 is okay, but there's a lot more running in the background that I just don't need.
