I'm worried about my boyfriend. See, he is the sweetest guy in the world, and he is my best friend. We are in school, and he was fine this afternoon before fourth period, aside from a scratchy throat. When I went to lunch, usually, he is at the table waiting for me. But, today he didn't come out of the locker room until fifteen minutes before the bell. He said he was running in athletics, and he was feeling fine. When he stopped and went to the locker room, he said he started puking red (he didn't know if it was blood) on the floor. He had one eye that looked blood shot, and he looked terrible. He said he wanted to push through the next couple periods, but I'm worried about him. That isn't normal. He is always pushing himself too hard, and I want him to just sit down with the nurse, and talk to her. He said maybe... I don't know what to do... I know him. He will push himself until he collapses...

If there's a coach or instructor in charge when he's running, you should inform him/her as soon as possible so that they know to keep an eye on him. Tell the nurse about it. Tell his parents about it. Tell anyone about it. Make sure he knows how concerned you are and what you see happening to him. That's not healthy, and he could seriously injure himself.

What Zephy said, but keep in mind that you can't be condescending about it, in the sense that he has to feel like not running and doing that is [his] decision.

I usually make him promise to try when stuff like this happens. But, he just hugged me and walked away.... He hates me worrying about him, but that only makes it worse... He said he was fine while he was running, that's what I'm questioning... He said he just felt tired.

You may be over-reacting, it could be just a simple stomach bug, if he can run it might not be as bad as you think. Listen, my suggestion right now would be not to jump to any conclusions, have him go to a doctor (just say visit a doctor "just in case it's bad") and then see what the doctor has to say. Chances are it's just like a stomach bug or something!

Someone I guess took him home. But I am still worried. He doesn't know when to just take a break, and not go so hard. I understand not wanting to give up, but being hard headed, selfless, and stubborn isn't going to help
