Theres this guy at my school that ive been bestfriends with since third grade and lately ive noticed that i sort of feelings for him that go beyond friendship and i dont know if i should tell him because what if we have a falling out and he spreads it around the school that im gay which not im just bi but everyone will think im gay and school would become insufferable and i dont know what to do

What about first telling him that you're bi and see what he thinks about that? Then at a later date bring up the rest. Do you know if he's bi or gay?

But have in mind that falling for a friend might end up in you losing them if they can't return the feeling.

I think that Puncia pretty much summed up what I was going to say. The best way to find out if someone will be accepting is to tell them that you are bi/gay first and then see how they react. If they react poorly, then it's obvious that you should not tell them about your feelings for them, as it may make them uncomfortable.

It's a sucky situation to be in, as I've been there myself, but it's also something that sometimes turns out okay in the end. Just take it slow, do not do anything brash and word wont get around the school as fast as you think it will.

The problem is that i wont see him again untill school starts in over a month and even then it wont be private as i would prefer

Maybe wait a bit longer...if he's also gay, he may develop feelings for you in time. Also, later you may find out you're not gay. Sometimes these things are just phases, and a wait could save you  a lot of awkwardness.
