I would answer this by drawing a straight line. Because they all mix together and equally seem valuable, the only thing that makes a difference is the script given.

Doesn't humanities cover other cultures and symbols? Symbology are any visual patterns that have been created to summarize specific details. Such as synonyms, beliefs, teams, groups, emotions, etc.

Is there any useful application for Sociology?

Hmmm, maybe.  I'm pretty scathing of sociology for the most part.  Of Television C P Scott once said "Television? The word is half Latin and half Greek. No good can come of it"  I think the same can be said of sociology.






Is symbology then just a neologism for symbolism or something distinct?
