You'll never find the perfect speakers or sound system as they all play different sounds differently and all those sounds were deffinitely recorded differently under different settings and processed differently.
I do however prefer to have a system that plays clear and hits good bass notes

Home theater in a box is more than sufficient to me, but if you pay a certain amount you can get good quality. Yamaha has served me well.
