Quite a few actually. It makes sense if the two know each other in real life, but otherwise I think it's ridiculous. (Just my opinion)

I don't believe in dating someone over the internet/some you haven't actually met. I think that there's too many things that you can lie about on the internet, so if you haven't actually met them, you don't know who they really are.
