I find it hard to focus reading, tbh, so many distractions these days. I'm studying music, hmm examine a classical piece's dynamics, or post on the internet... I tend to want to lean to the latter, not that I don't enjoy studying, I certainly prefer studying the arts over anything else, it helps you to create better things, I like that. I'm on an entry level course, studying from home, it's pretty diverse, but pretty easy I feel, it's like one minute you may be examining middle eastern rhythms and the next jump to a more western genre. Having explored continental music, more, it's amazing how much different music there is out there and to think of the culture behind that, the era, for old pieces it's like listening to ghosts even if it's a modern rendition, like how it captures their emotions. I see the same for the visual art, except I haven't really studied that.
