Hey, welcome bud!  I'm new to the forum as well, but familiar with the fandom.  My advice- start an account on FurAffinity!  Even if you don't have much art to post, there's a helluva lot to look at, and it's easy to navigate.  Leave a few comments on some art that catches your eye, and you'll be making friends there in no time.  It's a great place to see who's who in the community, and learn up on what people are into.
