i need some help really bad, please help!!

ok so my parents are devorced and my mom gets visitation. so when i went down to visit it was my stepdads birthday. so she took him out for dinner. she left me to baby sit. at first it was going well. then we decided to go outside and play. well it was dark so we took the flash lights. i acadentally ran into a tree and lost my phone. i did not noticed that this happened until later. a few minutes passed and we heard the mountain lion that lives in the area that the game warden likes to deny existis. well when i noticed i didnt have my phone i pannicked. i went into my moms room and took the 22 revolver just incase. well when they got home i noticed the headlights and whent to put it up. afterwards my stepdad asked me what i was doing so i told him. i didnt get introuble. yet anyway that was yersterday and i leave to go back home on monday and then my dad comes back from vacay on tuesday. thats when my  mom is gonna tell him what i did. all i have to say is that i was tring to protect my syblings. not that it did any good cuz it wasnt loaded and it was broken.   so now i have a few options.when my grandma comes to pick me up i could tell her. dont know what good that will do but it would make me feal better. i will also get to talk to my dad before my mom so maybe i could prove my point then... the way i planned it was that i could get him to come with me and then slowly explain it. please please please keep in mind that no matter what you may think i did not do this to hurt any one and i really dont see why im paniniking right now. i mean my heart is going so fast that it may pop out of my chest and my stomac feels like im gonna be sick. please i need advise!! :'( :'(

you were doing what you thought you needed to maintian your safety and your (step?) sister. wether or not it was the RIGHT decision is irelevant and you need to tell them that..that it may have been wrong but your intentions were pure.

I dont understand what you did wrong. you heard a mountain lion, grabbed a gun to defend youself and your step sister and turned on some lights? Maybe im missing something but I dont see whats such a big deal.

well neather do i. but still my mom is really mad at me. this is as mad as ive seen her in a while but she doesnt want me to think that she is. my step dad is saying that that is how people get killed by acadent. the thing is ive been trained how to handle any weapon military or not properly.

oh wait I see what theyre getting at. Theyre mad because you went outside with your step sister when there was a mountain lion out there, not that you had a gun.

what I would do is apologize for taking your sister out at night when a mountain lion was out there and tell them that while you shouldn't have done it in the first place, you handled it like an adult and no-one was hurt. Hopefully that will at least diffuse them a bit. Good luck mate.

well it was more than my sister my brothers two. but what thier getting at i think any cuz of what my mom said is that the gun could have went off and hurt some one. i mean after i got the gun i  only went back outside to get my phone wich never happened untill they came home.

I would agree about th gun but it wasn't loaded and working so there. Would be no way that the gun coulda went off. Also did she ever show you how to use th gun?

moutain lions rarely attack people most of the time they attack is when provoceted. as for your suituation you did the right thing, explain what happend, and take some deep breaths and hold them it should help releve your stress.
