My story - your opinions

Long story short, I've strived to become an author for as long as I can remember. A few months ago, I wrote the first chapter (a prologue) to a story that I want to someday get published. I just wanted to know what you guys thought of it.

Let me know what you guys think of it ^_^' I want to know where I'm going right and wrong (hopefully I'm not going wrong really, but I need your opinion on that XD) and whether you would want to carry reading this or not. I've changed it a bit since I posted it in the form it's in on DeviantArt, but it remains relatively the same.
