Well, I'm terrible at writing, but I just need to vent my imagination sometimes.

Legal stuff:
There are battles, and I suggest you don't read it if you're younger than 13, although there's no blood, death (without revival) or strong language.
If you choose not to heed my warning, then you're reading at your own risk, regardless if you read this warning or not.

I do not own Pokemon, although I did design their anthro versions.
I do not own some of the plot concepts (i.e. Shadow Pokemon).

CHAPTER INDEX:
Chapter 1 (Scroll down)

So, without further ado, I present you

RENEGADE SHADOW

CHAPTER 1: SHARDS OF SHADOW

A lonesome, slow breathing echoed through the room.
Six pairs of torches lit the dark red carpet spread out from a large steel door to a throne on the opposite, partially hidden in the seemingly infinite expanse of darkness in the back.

The breathing sound was interrupted.
The sound of the metal door opening filled the room.

A silhouette stood in the faint light of the opening.
It came closer.

The figure stepped upon the carpet, it’s head hung low.

The figure had a purple cloak with a pink zigzag rim at the underside.
A matching purple witch hat with a pink tip hid it’s face.
Two feline ears poked up from the hat.

Three red beads hung around the neck.

The figure looked ahead, towards the throne.
A feminine, feline face was revealed.

At first sight cute, but looking deeper into her orange eyes would reveal an unnatural amount of malice.

The metal door closed with a large slam.
The gust emanating from it lifted the girl’s cloak slightly, revealing purple and pink striped stockings, before dying down.

Having not flinched at all, the cloaked girl walked up to the throne.
She saw something moving from within that darkness.
The girl kneeled.

The breathing sound became faster.
Two red lights lit up beside each other from the darkness on the throne, one bigger than the other.

The figure on the throne exhaled, carrying a single word on the breath of it's demonic voice.
“Magiusss...”

The dark figure reached out with it’s blue fin-like hand.
A Pokeball of some sort rested in it’s palm.

The top was purple, and it exuded a purple aura.
Seeing this, Miss Magius rose again.
Her right paw came out from under her cloak, holding a golden scepter with a shiny red orb at the top.
The Mismagius distanced herself from the throne.

She stretched her arm forward, pointing the scepter away from her to the ground.
She muttered an incomprehensible incantation, and a red beam shot from the scepter onto the ground.

A column of black light erupted skywards.
There was someone or something stirring from within.

When the light faded, an insect plated in a red, metal exoskeleton was left behind.
The creature frantically looked around with a large amount of fear in his eyes.

When he spotted Miss Magius, he pointed his claw-like scissors towards her.
The scissors glowed a white silver, as the creature lunged at her.

Miss Magius shook her head.
She pointed her scepter at the insect, as a blue light surrounded him, stopping him in his tracks.

Miss Magius gave an evil grin, as she flicked her scepter upwards.
Much to the insect’s surprise, the Psychic worked on him, rising him into the air.

The Mismagius then flicked her scepter down, resulting in the insect crashing forcefully into the stone floor.

The insect tried to get up, but couldn’t come further than a kneeling position, resting on his arms.

He felt something being knocked in his back, ricocheting off it.
Looking up, he noticed it was the strange Pokeball that hit him.

He was converted into a purple energy and sucked into the ball.
The purple Pokeball returned to the hand of the creature on the throne.

The strange Pokeball shook three times, before ceasing to move.
The dark figure threw the Pokeball in the air, releasing the newly gained Pokemon.

A powerful blast of purple aura forcefully rooted itself into the floor, sending a column of darkness towards the ceiling.

The insect that was captured emerged from that darkness.
He was engulfed in a purple aura, and had a very aggressive look in his eyes.

The figure on the throne inhaled as it slowly rose it’s hand, pointing it’s finger at Miss Magius.
As the figure exhaled, two words came out along with the breath.
“Ssshadow Russsh...”
The aura around the insect grew more intense.
Miss Magius tried Psychic.

With a single swing of his scissors, the insect disrupted the paranormal powers surrounding him, rendering Psychic useless.

He immediately retaliated with his ordered Shadow Rush.
He approached his opponent at blazing speed, striking Miss Magius with so much force, she was knocked into the wall.

She fell out of the wall, unto the floor.
Letting out a groan of pain, she loosened her grip on the scepter, which rolled away for a bit.

The insect charged up another Shadow Rush, intending to kill the Mismagius.
Fortunately, upon the next exhale, the entity on the throne hissed, “Desssissst...”

The insect looked over his shoulder towards his master.
He looked back at his opponent, hesitating for a while, until the shadowy aura surrounding him diminished to the normal level.

He turned around, walking away from Miss Magius, with his unflinching, cold, yet aggressive expression, as the strange, demonic laughter of the one on the throne filled the room, “Greh moo whergh hergh heh heh heh HA HA HA!”

From between her groans of pain, Miss Magius silently chuckled alongside her master.

END OF CHAPTER

Editor's notes: I tried to give the dialogue of the person on the throne a purple color, to recreate that "Shadow Queen's purple text balloon" effect, but then the text would be easily missed, because it was too dark.

I hope you enjoyed it.
Chapter 2 will come soon.  :)
