Furry Writers Wanted
« on: September 21, 2010, 02:49:05 PM »
Attention to all furry authors, both experienced and novice; I am currently looking to hire ghost writers who will be able to take my ideas and visions and create a lengthy story from it. I have always admired the independent (and often) unappreciated artists within the fandom and have become an enthusiast for their stories. For the longest time, I myself have created a complex outline of my own Magnus Opus, complete with the entire plot, cast of characters, and detailed setting, but given the extensive size and ambition of my manuscript, I have come to the hesitant and sad conclusion that I myself do not possess the skill, time, or motivation to actually begin writing.

That is where you come in. For the ambitious and aspiring furry authors, I am looking to hire you to write sections of my manuscript for a paid commission. Anyone who legitimately has a passion for writing stories featuring anthropomorphic characters is more than welcome to become a member of my project. While I am certainly not looking for the next Shakespeare or Stephen King, I do request anyone interested in the project to possess a realistic and true enthusiasm for creating this story; an understanding of story structure, flow, and composition; English is their first language, and an open minded willingness to flesh out my fantasies in detail on the written page, both the tame and the grotesque and erotic.

I do not intend on having my work published. I don’t even have any true desire to share the manuscript over the internet either. No, this project is a very private and personal piece of art; a world of my own design to which only a select few will be permitted to venture. Because of this, I ask those who are interested in becoming a ghost writer for my project to be just that; ghosts. I ask that those who contribute to my manuscript to remain anonymous and never divulge information or sections of my story for publication or viewing unless given my explicit consent. Furthermore, I myself do enjoy my privacy quite a bit. While I will certainly get to know you before I task you with work, I don’t have any intentions of meeting you face to face.

So what offer do I bring to the table for this writing project? What price could I possibly push forward for those willing to give me large sections of my manuscript and remain anonymous while doing so? Given my own financial limitations, this is my meager pitch I give to you: to begin the actual writing commission, I will pay $50. Upon completion of my specified section of the manuscript according to my given instructions, I will pay another $50. My manuscript is about both quality and quantity, so instead of paying by page, I will pay according to word count. At a minimum, I will commission an author for a 20,000 word section of the story and my going rate for each word is $0.015. Sounds like peanuts, I must admit, but if the math is done, a 20,000 word section of my manuscript could earn you an approximate commission of $400. I am far from wealthy and my commission will not change. I am also not a charity, so don’t expect me to hand over cash without something in return.

If you are whom I’m looking for, and are serious about writing, you can contact me at [email protected]; this also happens to be my MSN messenger. Tell me a little bit about yourself, how long you’ve been writing, and a sample of your work as a furry writer. I hope to hear from you soon.

Oh my GOD sign me up! This sounds like a really good oppertunity for me. Having a pre made story will give me a chance to hone m ability, plus I get paid. Wait, though...what are your time constraints? Are you expecting an entire novel length manuscript in a few months? I personally would find that impossible to accomplish. If there was a longer time limit, like a year, a little less than a year even, then I could be able to do it.

Anyone who is interested in this might want to be aware that this may be a scam. No offense intended, kanon, but it's a little odd for a new forum member to show up out of the blue offering money to writers. I hope you understand.

I'm willing to leave this thread up on the chance it is authentic, but writers should be aware of the situation. Please be careful enough not to give out personal information to someone just because of the offer.
