Cause you can't have fun without going full redneck? +In terms of getting real weapons for shooting, I'd recommend Somalia, but you'll need to set up your own stuff. You'll also need to watch your back cause things are kinda fu- screwy there at the moment.

10rd magazine limit, unless you have grandfathered magazines.
Handgun safety certificate requirement.
10 day waiting period.
Smith and Wesson and Ruger no longer sell to California and there is no way to get new firearms from them now while having Californian citizenship.
.45 ACP has been banned.
Los Angeles City cannot be sold ammo/ship ammo to an address in Los Angeles City. Someone has to drive to a neighboring city to purchase ammo.
No suppressors.
No collapsable/foldable stocks.
No special ammunition.
Gun registration.
For those who actually want to go hunting, there's a "lottery" to even get that far.
.50 Caliber weapons have been completely banned.
Machine pistol/submachine gun "style" weapons as well as shorter rifles and shotguns are completely banned.
Bump-fire stocks and trigger accessories are completely banned, the only exceptions are sensitive triggers such as Geissele.
Some weapons are specifically banned even if the gun is assembled in a different way such as the SPAS-12.

In more recent news, handgun sales have doubled since 2010 because of collective fear that eventually there will be no handguns left to buy because of the imposed restrictions on gun manufacturers.

And do I look like I have a reason to care? If for some reason I'm in a situation where I need any of those things, then things have already gone so far that none of this stuff will actually apply. If it's sudden, I wouldn't have anything on hand anyway, because I'm not a paranoid nervous wreck.

Pretty sure .45 ACP isn't banned... but yeah, the rest of that is pretty correct. Although I think retired law enforcement can keep whatever firearms and hi-cap mags they owned on duty. Went shooting with a retired DTF Sergeant, so can confirm. 50 BMG requires ownership of the rifle prior to the ban. 500 S&W is still legal. The Taurus Judge and S&W Governor are banned.

Gun laws are bollocks in most cases. I just want my M1A with a proper 20+1 capacity is that so hard to do California?

Makes me wonder if guns like the KSG and 1216 might become a bit more popular to compensate. Does the multitube magazine loophole apply to rifles as well as shotguns you think?

KSG is still legal fortunately. I think they get bought up really fast though because of paranoia of too much attention from legislation. Thankfully Hollywood hasn't popularized it yet to scare people.

I don't think it has much to do with media, cause it's kinda in everything.

During my short time in Albany, NY, I noticed the sharp contrast in rain patterns. I honestly would not mind it raining a small amount every day.

Born and raised in the Silicon Valley, and not very proud of it. :/
