Fast Food Freaks
« on: May 05, 2010, 03:21:03 PM »
Well I have a great story about Mcdonalds. It was a Tuesday morning around 7am ( I never work the mornings but this day I did ) I was the only one on the counter taking orders.(lol even stranger, I am always the grill guy) Then in walks a man and orders a meal. It came to about 4 something, so he hands me a $10 bill. So i make the change out and hand it to him, then about a while later he tells me that he handed me a $20 bill, ( In which I knew was wrong ) so he starts telling me that I cheated him and he wants his money back. So the managers will have to take the till back and count it to see if he was right. Then the guy starts to tell other costumers that I rip people off, saying that you shouldn't go to him, he will steal your money. Ya know at this point I just wanted to jump the counter and hit him a good one. Then what happens next made it all worth it. He just walks out the door without his food or money! I was laughing my butt off at that point.

Then about a half hour later another guy comes in and orders a number one with an extra sandwich. so then he gets his food and money and drives off with his friend. Then not to long after that he comes back saying that he had ordered a number two. After he says to me " You better let me keep these sandwiches because I already bit into them!"... So I did.

You know I think everyone should work at a fast food place so you can know what we go through there...!

wut a nice story.  naw, I couldn't serve people like that.  I would get fired teh first day on teh job.

So I have a little fast food story too!

I was at Jack In The Box! I was at a table all by my lonesome  :( So I was sitting there and a girl comes in. Now, I am sorry if this offends any one but those preppy girls just...they get on my nerves a lot! The girl that walked in was a preppy cheer leader. She orders some food and said make it snappy. The poor cashier dude was taken by suprise by that.  She gets her food and walk out. I go and order a milkshake cuz...I love milkshakes.  I sit back down and she comes in.  She is all mad cuz the food was too high in fat or something.  She demanded a full refund.  The guy asked for the burger...which she already ate. She couldn't return the burger, he couldn't return the money.  She says stuff like: This is like the worst place ever. I am like never coming back here.  She says some other stuff I missed but the guy mimicked her and said: Like fine, be that way. I never wanna see you again.  That blew her away and she just stormed out the door.

SO yea, I understand what cashiers go though.  I like your story though. just got me thinkin.

Funny, tech support is were all the comedy of dumb customers is at though.

Meh, I'd hate to work a fast food restaurant. You have to sit there in a stuffy area behind a counter and deal with idiots (like your story describes) all day, and all for minimum wage.

Aircraft maintenance isn't too far different. You have maintenance-controllers who keep telling you that "(such-and-such job) is more important." even though that they know yours would prevent the aircraft from getting off the ground, then you have pilots complaining about simple things as seat control and "tire-pressure looks low" (had that as a write-up, even though when checked it was far from being low). Then there are others, but I think the picture is painted so far.

But I digress, this is pertaining to fast-food. Yeah, they do have it hard there.

Wow. that's incredible.

Living in New Zealand, we don't get that many people as full of themselves as that  ^_^

And that's why I WONT work with the public! Worked at a Jokers, oh god never again. Hated the stupid brats, and their stupid parents, and when summer camps came in OYE The stupidity level shot down. Some girls went in to the jungle gym, wearing mini skirts! You have to be under 12 and have paid for it. They threatened to flash one of my male coe workers, which could get him in deep doo doo. SO I went in and kicked them out, man were they pissed! They were yelling and all kinds of crap. Hey not my fault they couldn't read the giant yellow sign posted OUTSIDE the gym stating the rules.

I work as a Town Employee (government jobs = the best = minimal work for most pay). Dealing with the public is by far the worst. My job requires me to handle conflict/follow procedure for health/safety issues at town events. Usually I don't have any trouble at work but there's always that one person or group that shows up to make as much trouble as possible (and they're usually kids). They would come in and harass other patrons then I had to deal with them which either meant kicking them out or calling the fuzz. That isn't the worst. The worst is when people get hurt and I have to help them out until further medical attention arrives. OMFG this one time, this dude was at a hockey event and he fell, snapping his arm in half. The bone protruded out of the skin. Blood was everywhere and I couldn't get him to stop screaming while I did my best with first aid. He was maybe 14 years old. I had to call EMS, file paperwork, clean up the mess, deal with other people. Ugh, it was a mess. >_<

I think fast food is actually a lot worse than this. :P
