I've been coming to this conclusion that I may not exactly belong in the furry fandom. You see, I've recieved harsh comments toward my fursona for being one of the "weak" species. (Not by anyone here of course.) Not to mention my appearance, build, and size. And in all honesty, It's starting to get to me. :'(

well, let me tell you. whether in furry fandom or in the real world, there are people like that wherever you go. The hope is that you don't let it bother you. A lot of people are all about supremacy and all that BS. You should not be ashamed of your fursona. You just choose to be more feral than human-like, that's all. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If other places don't accept you, do know that you always have a home here with us. I was very anti-furry while growing up and only discovered what it's like to be a furry a little over 2 years ago. And let me tell you, losing the furryfandom is something I don't wish for anyone. It may be tough, but there's a lot of happiness that comes from being a fur. I urge you stay in the fandom. And there is no such thing as a weak species. One of the popular people on another site I use is a bat. In fact, he's actually donated a character to my book. If everyone else doesn't like you, stay here. We are you friends.

people call your fursona weak?... you're a bat. How is a bat weak! bats are awesome! I mean, heck I'm a rabbit, not exactly top of the food chain.

But yeah, people are people. Simple as that, you're gonna get idiots. Such is life. if you're gonna leave, then i guarantee you, you'll miss being in connection with other furs. it may take ten years but it will happen. i suggest just sticking round here and ignoring people who dont understand what it means to be a furry.

Dude, don't listen to chumps over the internet who say your fursona is weak. You don't choose a fursona because a few people tell you it doesn't live up to their standards. You choose your fursona because you are happy with it and no one else's opinion should matter. Make your fursona whatever you want. If people don't like it, too bad. They don't have to make it their fursona, you don't have to make a new one. If someone's givin' you static then just ignore them or tell them off.

But seriously, if people are going to dis you for being a bat, then that's their problem. Bats aren't weak. The only thing that has to do with weakness or strength in these forums would be RP, and bats do have their strengths. If people are really going to start treating you like crap because of your fursona, have a little chat with admin. On these forums we have fursonas from draconic gods to lizards. We even have humans. So just ignore those people and remember that you have support from your friends here at The Furry Forum.

As has been said, the best thing to do is to ignore them. Opinions are opinions, and you're allowed to choose which ones matter to you. You know what's 'weak'? The people who insult you. If you're a little different, you have every justification to be happy for that ^^

A weak fursona is a bat...how incorrect.

Being able to strike fear in to most human beings on the planet, hang upside-down for hours in length and even be used as the mascot for some of the most famous or infamous individuals that we have seen in our days, weak? Well, those who call you weak obviously have overlooked some important information.

Don't listen to those pricks, their full of rubbish anyways. The only reason they call you weak because of this: They may not be weak physically, but their minds, that's what is weak. Not sure if their self-image actually matches to other people's prospective of them, so in order to find some sort of security for their insecurities, they make fun of you.

It's either that, or they just don't think that a bat is strong, which to me, is a not very well formulated opinion on their part. So don't even think twice about what others say about you, because they are not your friends; not the ones that don't know the smallest thing about you.
