The one advantage music has over drawing is exhibitionism. People tend to know what kind of music you listen to, or at least they're capable of finding out very easily.

on school we have a design class (game designers) and I know what they like and how they draw

When you get a number of people together for a class in design you're going to figure that out fairly quickly I'm talking about people you dont know and will probably never see again.
