They are. they are passing it on to 343 industries...which ironically was introduced by bungie.   Halo like games may continue but they just wont be the same.  Especially when Marty O' Donnal is not making the epic halo music.

Well I mean you kinda have to think about it from their view, wouldn't you be really tired of making the same game over and over again? I mean even money is often not enough motivation to continue something that has been done for such a long period of time, I mean it's almost been a decade of making this game. Guys gotta have a break and do something new, I mean come on they could possibly even make a better game!
