It's one of those round thingummywuts that tend to come bundled with some brands of liquid laundry detergents.
It's got markings inside for ease of measurement, and then you just put it into the machine on top of all the clothes.
Then it gets stuck inside sleeves or legs during the washing and you have to spend the rest of your life searching for it when you take stuff out, or else it'll fall out and roll halfway to Hammerfell.
Keeps things interesting, so I like it.



And they quite often don't.
Many places tend to have a shared washing room you can pay to use as needed tho.
At least around here they do.
Dunno if it's a thing elsewhere.

And well, here quite often they come with basic stuff like washing machine and fridge and stove and the likes.

Yes, always best to ask if unsure.

In my case, I had a stove and a fridge.
Bought the freezer and washing machine myself, so those are mine.

Otherwise, I'd have had to do my laundry at the shared place and it's in a basement and that's scary. >.>

Yeah. I wouldn't do laundry in the shared place unless I was there just for like a year at most. And even then I'd debate getting my own machine cuz public space. Very spooky. You might even bump into other people... *Shivers*

My brother's previous place had such a small bathroom he couldn't even fit a washing machine in it, so he used to just bring his dirty laundry with him and wash it at our grandparent's place instead of messing about with the shared room.

Plenty of angry notes have been left and many a neighbour feud have begun in those most haunted of halls when people have gotten their hours mixed up or left their stuff in the machine for too long, after all, so best to just stay clear away from them if possible.
Or so the common stereotype goes.

I've only been to the one here once because I had to wash something that required a more heavy-duty machine than my own (there's another point. Industrial-grade washing machines will never not look scary >.>), and that was more than enough for me.

And yeah, I used to just bring my laundry back home every two weeks when I was visiting. Way more convenient.

If you're living alone or together with someone, one of the smaller 200-300€ will be more than enough.


And yeah, usually there's a weekly or monthly fee.

It often doesn't really add up. I mean if you're there for a month or two and the apartment doesn't have it then sure. It makes sense.
Otherwise it's just a big nope

Yeah mine was like 300, maybe 400 but it's pretty top tier I'd say.
Not like one of the ones that talks to you and you can play Skyrim on it, but still pretty decent
