They don't seem to mind skill so much. The big groups for this game often pretty speciffically mentioned that they care more about learning potential than skill. But yeah, for now the idea is to keep trying to poke around on their servers regulairly, and regurairly chat up in their discord, to grow some familiarity. And obviously trying to get better at the game in the meanwhile.
There's a lot of people trying to join these big groups because they appear on youtube, with quite a few people watching the videos, and most of them for bragging rights or just the fame of it, whom obviously won't get along with the people who are actually trying to play the game, so I figure It'd be best for my chances if I'm familiar with most of the members, in the hope that the guys reading the application will be like "Oh, that's Brisky, I know that dude, that's the newbie F-18 main with a wierd interest in the engineering behind the stuff who keeps frigging things up in hilarious ways, but keeps trying and eventually succeeds most of the times. He's pretty chill."
But yeah. Things are slowly going uphill for me.
I'm allright getting a reliable sense of what I did that ended up getting me, so that's a good sign...
