Let's say you take a picture of a cow and post it on a website that wants to know your location but your phone's GPS is turned off.

The phone sends the coordinates "null" (it doesn't know) but the website mistakes it for "null" (0) so it sets your geographical location as 0 degrees long and 0 degrees lat.

You've just been to Null Island and took a picture of a cow there.
