Yes, "Wilt" actually means something. It is a correctly written non-conjugated verb in both British English and American English. I'm not so sure if that's the case with "Midden" as I haven't heard of that word in English before.

(Yes I know the same can be said for the season "Evergreen" but that one's actually a name made by fusing two English words and now I'm busy with rambling.)

Google doesn't know it really but also it says it's just Dutch for middle.
