That's a good way to think.
You should be able to change the fraction later in the game while staying your race.

Yea skyrim is much better when you get into it fully not just mess around a bit

I was also doing something similar with my Argonian too.
He's loyal to the Pact, but for understandable reasons he despises Dark elves, so he goes for whatever solution means the most problem for them. He steals from them too.
Provided it doesn't also mean problems for Argonians.


Really makes the pretty bare-bones quests a lot more fun.
