Dunno, the show has a few scenes where someone tries to shoot at a Vorlon with fancy hightech future weapons, and the projectiles were pretty much just reflected back at the attackers. Highly doubt any current weapons could harm them.
The Shadow race is also a first one but they're so frail you could pet them to death.
Tho ofc if one of those showed up you wouldn't be able to tell it was there until it's too late because invisible and stuff.


And yeah, in this same show, a war between humans and a race (far more advanced than ours but not a first one) they had never met before started because of a person with the same mind-set as you.

Oh, sorry. The Bible doesn't mention life on other planets, directly. However, it does speak about Heaven. Heaven does not seem to be a physical place, so it'd make sense to me if it rather is located in some kind of spiritual dimension.

That's the fun part about "advanced" weapons!

Most of them are lazer/plasma weapons, of wich their damage is done entirely, if not moslty, by thermal energy. Because plasma, and especially lazer weapons' projectiles have little or no mass, and the ones that do have mass have relatively slow velocities, they can easily be countered...

But, a .458 diameter piece of purpose-made metal travelling in your direction at a speed of 700 meters per second, is universally recognised as a pretty big problem for all lifeforms in the universe!

Shure, electromagnetic forcefields can hold them at bay for a while, but Elite Dangerous "full kinetic" loadoats prove that, once you throw enough lead down range, even the strongest shields aren't adequate protection for getting shot at...


Oh, and I don't have a cowboy mindset at all.

Granted, I may look like one, because I'm soo enthousiastic about defending the effectiveness of modern firearms against aliens, but that's just because I have an inexplicable affinity for using well engineered devices to hurl small projectiles from A to B, as consistently as me and my machine can achieve.

If an alien were to actually show up at my porch, shure, I'd approach it with the biggest bore I have lying around (wich is actually 4.5mm, I don't own any firearms) to comfort my inner fear of ayy's, but they'd have to throw an extremely rowdy party for me to actually point any weapon in their direction.


I'd much rather run away, and hide in a very dark place... >_>
