Lol, I don't even have heating.

But, whatever doesn't kill me, makes me strong, eh? Evidently, by another lovely little nightly frosty forest walk, yesterday, with ludiculously inadequate clotthing that didn't really seem to bother me either...

Especially because the forest was pretty beautifull tonight, with the full moon shining in trough the trees, and all. I might have to do that again, tonight...

And is heating really that expensive?

Back at the orphanage during the winters, my room would get so cold I had to sleep fully dressed and even then I'd shiver.
Thankfully someone eventually noticed my room was awfully cold and I got a heater.


Since then, while I do prefer rooms (and temperatures in general) to be on the cooler side, I don't intentionally try to make them cold.
Nor do I like being pointlessly cold, despite being able to put up with it just fine if I have to for whatever reason.


There's no doubt going to be plenty enough time to be cold and miserable once we all start playing Fallout IRL anyway, so for now I'll happily be a filthy luxurywoof.

I kinda prefer a world that's not heavily irradiated.

The Long Dark, or Left 4 Dead (as a carrier) IRL would be a lot cooler, for example.

But ideally Elite Dangerous where everybody gets a spaceship, and goes to mars/other solar systems, and leaves "Mother Gaia" alone...

My money's on you, Elon Musk... Mister rocket to take you from London to NY in 30 minutes, for cheaper than a standard plane ticket...

Elite Dangerous isn't a survival game, though.

In cannon, the third world war happends, and the US wins becoming "The Federation", and also, boss of the planet, basically.

And then, with the realisation that resources on Earth are running out, a surge of interest towards space happends, Mars gets colonized, and a handfull of "Generation ships" are send out to slow-boat their way to other star systems, but, painfully, before they are even halfway, the frameshift drive is invented and mankind can traverse from system to system in a matter of days.

A few hundred years later, and people are slowly starting to massively migrate to colonies in other planets and system, to such an extend that the capitol city of the Federation is moved from Earth to Mars.

Officially, Earth is later restored in it's full glory, and becomes a touristical attraction for very wealthy people.

But obviously, I'd rather not have that... :I

I don't like the idea of Elite Dangerous IRL at all, actually.

Well, I guess it's a better future than an apocalypse?

Not to mention that terraforming exists, and it's possible for scertain planets to be turned into "Earth-like worlds" complete with water, wildlife, and stuff like that. There's almost undoubtedly a few completely abandoned ones out there as well, where nature has taken over again.

And even better, the inhabited part of the milky way, or, "The Bubble", is only a few percents of all the solar systems in the milky way, so, it wouldn't be very hard to find and terraform an Earth-like just for yourself, and your best buddies.

(Although, the process is know to take a few hundred years, and is not guaranteed to actually work out, all the time.)


And, lastly, don't worry about having to live it IRL, as the game is set in the year 3303. (Or 3304, by now...)
