At that stage, it might actually be more respectful to just crack open the ice on some lake and dump all the bodies in there instead.
I mean, people are usually buried to -prevent- scavengers from getting to them.

Oh, and it's like trying to chop a hole in the ice, ruining your precious axe/saw/hammer isn't a waste of resources? Spoiler alert, it actually very much is about 10x as worse as wasting a handfull of matches, and a bunch of firewood to getting a corpse buried, not to mention risky, as you might fall trough the ice as well, giving you instant hypothermia, if you even survive at all.

Besided, I don't really care about that, either.

I respect Fluffy a little bit more than random people's dead corpses.

People who were probably trying to kill wolves, or died from very stupid ways.

And, I don't even think becoming wolf-food is actually such a bad way for your remains to end. I mean, they're putting you to good use, and you somewhat get to ride along with the world's most badass predator!

The most common usage for wolves nowadays seems to be weird and fat people wearing pictures of them on their clothes, (Like this.) and "All the wisdom, and mysticality, and the awoo, and bladibladibla"...

Not to mention all the association with terrorists and pedophiles, and stuff... X_x

I usually just see them being used by edgy teenagers going all "Noone understands me and I'm so speschul and unique and misunderstood, just like a wolf. Baawwwwww. They're my true family and stuff. They'd understand me. They're the best. The true crown achievement of creation."
Particularly common on sites like dA, the spawning ground of most sparkledog/wolf characters.


Probably also the reason why wolves are so common among furries. I know I started out as a wolfaboo, but I've thankfully outgrown that even if I still like the generic "Dog-like thing with a long muzzle, straight pointy ears, a hairpoof, and a long swishy tail"-look.
So I'm a different kind of exceptional dog-like creature these days.

I didn't quite know how to describe that exact stereotybe, but you absolutely nailed it!


As for me, I've never considered having a wolf as a 'sona. I don't know why, I just don't feel like it (Aesthetically) fits me, for some reason. An all black Dutch/German shepherd dog is the closest I've got to wolf.

I still think they're awesome, nevertheless. But for the reasons wich they actually are. Their social structure and stuff, their habit of just avoiding trouble instead of wasting the energy at it, and their strange sort of almost "utilitarian" beauty.
