I'm sitting here being way too overjoyed about a bowl of mashed boiled potatoes with half a pack of butter mixed into it...


It's just so delicious.
And I've only recently learned how to cook potatoes.
It feels like such a big step towards learning how to adult.

I tried to bake potatoes a few times...

Resulted in more than half an hour of effort and potatoes that still slightly on the inside, and almost burnt on the outside...

I think I did it wrong. I should ask my grandma...

My oven is broken, I think that means my adult status has been revoked.


Sounds like the temperature was too high or not enough oil Brisky.  I generally bake in the oven at 220C, but if I have to use an electric frypan, pre-cooking in the microwave first stops the undercooked inside/overcooked outside problem which otherwise is only avoided by using heart attack inducing quantities of oil.
